Con un total de 17 melodramas al aire, las telenovelas siguen siendo los pilares de las televisoras mexicanas
Mientras que las series comienzan a tomar fuerza dentro de la audiencia mexicana, las telenovelas siguen gobernando el rating de todas las televisoras. Cabe resaltar que Televisa sigue siendo líder, tanto en audiencias como en producciones, ya que suma 7 horas y media al día con 7 telenovelas de producción propia, entre ellas sólo una repetición.
Por su parte, la televisora Azteca sólo cuenta con dos producciones al aire de mediano éxito.
Asimismo, Cadena tres, televisora con alcance limitado a nivel nacional, está apostando por tres producciones extranjeras y una propia bajo la producción de Argos, la cual cada día cosecha más audiencia.
