TagDF is a festival FOCUSED in the Entertainment industry and digital creativity to detonate a new talent generation of Mexican creators through technology. The themes that the festival will develop are: music, television, film digital art, gaming, science, creativity and education.

The Hippodrome of the Americas and  Centro Banamex in Mexico City will host TagDF on July 3 and 4. TagDF offers its six thousand daily attendees the most innovative content through lectures, workshops, performances, concerts and exhibitions.

 

In TagDF, thousands of young people will be, at times, creators, producers or video developers, movies, photos, music or blogs. They themselves will be the filter of other content so that, so at the time, other developers consume, be inspired, and continue to create.

The festival will allow for this process of creation and collaborationfor Mexican youth to hobnob with ideas and the most innovative minds in the world.

+ More than 20 conferences with top level creative geniuses like James Cameron, Brian Eno, Steve Wozniak, Charlie Todd and Janie Bryant, as well as managers and directors of companies and industry leaders as Medium.com alternative means or Julia Kaganskiy of Vice.
+ More than 70 hours of knowledge and learning labs on technology and content creation. The workshop participants come from academic institutions of excellence such as the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts; international design agencies as FX Fowle; open source leading companies like Blender 3D animation; civil society and youth hacktivism as Codeando Mexico, Mexican companies breaking molds as Machina and augmented reality items; International Foundations to share ideas as Creative Commons and Wikimedia, business schemes designed for the digital marketplace like Etsy; and, national artistic talents as Camilo Lara.

There will be robots and prototypes IPN live impressions of three-dimensional works of art and science, video game tournaments, events to trigger the senses and brain waves as well as the latest technological developments and applications developed by UNAM and by commercial enterprises.

According to figures provided by CANACINE 229 million tickets to theaters in 2012 were purchased

La Cámara Nacional de la Industria Cinematográfica (CANACINE) - The National Chamber of the Film Industry – revealed that Mexico is the fourth most important market in the sale of tickets to movie theaters. This figure is just below countries like India, the U.S. and China, but ahead of France and Great Britain.

As for box office revenue is placed in 13th place collecting 812 million dollars. Regarding Latin America, surpassed only by Brazil (839 million). United States is the leader of this section ($ 9 thousand 782 million dollars).

CANACINE notes that Mexico’s place, is that the ticket price has averaged 46 pesos, much cheaper than in the United States, France, Brazil (110 Reales) or Spain.

On Monday, April 29 at 17 pm. debuted the second season of Violetta with excellentperformance to be the choice for young audiences of Mexico in pay TV. The day of its release, the new cycle started off  in the top ranking with 1.32 rating and an increase of264% over the previous Monday in its strategic target persons 12 to 17 years, with cable.In addition, managed 1.01 points with girls 4-11 years with cable, ranking second in thistarget.

Meanwhile, the release also reached # 1 on the target Total Persons, with cable, with a growth of 44%, with 0.52 points.

Also, since its launch on May 7, 2012, the site of Violetta in Disneylatino.com / DisneyChannel has received over 7.7 million unique users per month (2), its Facebook Fanpage in Latin America has nearly 1.5 million fans and its Youtube channel more than 208 million views.

With an assistance of over 80 thousand people concluded this past June 2nd the 2013 Acapulco Festival, which presented international stars during the nine concerts that were held from May 25 to June 2. Figures as The Jonas Brothers and Inna,  Gloria Trevi,  Sasha, Benny and Erick as well as Marco Antonio Solís, among others were present at the Jardín Sur del Centro Internacional Acapulco, Guerrero (CIA) and the convention center Mundo Imperial, featuring their spectacles and latest record productions.

Within the framework of CANITEC Expo 2013, Televisa Networks and UFC struck a content distribution agreement for 20 Spanish-speaking countries. They also announced the launch of a pay TV signal in Latin America with 24 hours of programming later this year. Prior to this, Televisa acquired broadcast rights on broadcast open TV and for pay signals TDN in Mexico and Golden in Latin America to broadcast live events, series and specials. “For the first time, we will give millions of followers in the region full access to all our live events and programming of UFC,” said Lorenzo Fertitta, owner and founding partner of Zuffa LLC, UFC’s parent company.   Meanwhile, Bruce Boren, president of Televisa Networks, emphasized the importance of this agreement, “This will be our signal number 18 of Televisa Networks, which further strengthens Televisa Networks offer on the market. We will nurture the linear channel 24 / 7 with over 20,000 hours of content, as well as original series and programs with Latino talent that will support the transmissions”, concluded the executive.
