Jens Richter new CEO of FremantleMedia International

Jens Richter, who currently serves as CEO of Red Arrow International, was named CEO of FremantleMedia International. Richter will take his new position replacing David Ellender, at the end of his contract with Red Arrow.

“We can confirm that Jens Richter will join FremantleMedia as CEO of FremantleMedia International. Jens is a prominent and dynamic executive with extensive knowledge and experience in the international distribution of contents and we’re excited to welcome you to our team,” highlighted the company said in a statement.

FremantleMedia, assured that the regional team of Executive Vice Presidents, comprised by Jamie Lynn, Lisa Honig and Paul Ridley, will remain in charge of the sales until the arrival of Richter, reporting to COO Bob McCourt.

Venevision Productions, the Cisneros Media production house, announced the hiring of renowned Venezuelan producer, Marlon Quintero, who joins the production team of the TV series “Sangre en el Divan” as Concept and Development Advisor.

Quintero, creative television producer and nominated for the International Emmy Award, joins the Colombian writer Andrés López López and successful Venezuelan author Ibéyise Pacheco for the adaptation of the book “Sangre en el Divan” for the production of a series of 60 episodes that will held in the city of Miami and on location in South Florida.

The original work of Ibéyise Pacheco narrates the case of deceased Venezuelan psychiatrist Edmundo Chirinos, who served a prison sentence for murder. The original work has dramatic testimonies of victims and the prosecution files.

“We have brought together leading experts, creating a majestic creative team, each member contributing their skills to produce a captivating TV series that will surely be liked by television audiences,” said Juan Carlos Sosa, Executive Vice President of Operations Venevision Studios. “Marlon brings a successful track record to contribute to the conceptualization and development of this complex story.”

More than three months after the merger of Harris Broadcast, the company announced appointments in sales, service and human resources in order to strengthen their team and to lead globally as an independent company. These appointments highlight Steve Reynolds as Chief Technology Officer and Skip Sorenson as Chief Financial Officer, who will report to the CEO of Harris, Charlie Vogt.

Juan Carlos Sosa, Vicepresident of operations at Venevision Studios

As part of the new corporate structure led by Adriana Cisneros, CEO of the Cisneros Organization, the company appointed Juan Carlos Sosa as Vicepresident of Venevision Studios Operations, covering all production units of the company. Sosa will report directly to the chairman of Cisneros Media, Jonathan Blum.

Under his charge, Sosa will be responsible for the management of production studios located in Medley, Florida and oversee all production operations to optimize the use of resources. Likewise, he will lead the standardization of production processes at different locations that make up the Cisneros Media companies in the United States and Venezuela. Also will manage along with Blum, relations with channels and media to which they provide their programming content.

“Juan Carlos has an excellent track record where he has exceeded in every position he has served in the Cisneros Organization, I am sure he will contribute an increase in our productivity and efficiency in our studios,” said Jonathan Blum, president of Cisneros Media.
