In an event led by Gabriela Sobrado and Horacio Cabak, in Puerto Salguero in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Artear presented the programming development for their signals; Magazine, Quiero Música en mi Idioma and Volver.

The Magazine channel is one of the most viewed channels of the 80 that make up the grid of Pay TV. Coco Fernández, Production Manager of El Trece signal artistic director, remarked that ”during year round, the signal generates live programming with their own production and co-productions. Moreover, acquired successful film titles and outstanding national and international telenovelas”.

For its part, the Volver signal, having 19 years on the screen has increased its audience in the last 3 years, it has as a mission to recover the  memory of the Argentine television and ”and for that we are constantly working in the recovery of historical material such as movies and telenovelas, with the intention that children and adults together can enjoy the best of the national production”, spotlighted  Fernández.

Meanwhile, Quiero Música en mi Idioma is Artear’s youngest signal. “We started 5 years ago competing with major regional signals, the channel shows considerable growth, placing it as the absolute leader in the genre”, finalized the executive.

TVMAS was part of the presentation to the media and customers of the new television series of Cadena Tres, Fortuna.  With this new proposal, the broadcaster reactivates its relationship with Argos TV, who produced this new initiative under the leadership of Epigmenio Ibarra. The story written by Rodrigo Ordoñez and directed by filmmaker José Luis Garcia Agra, starts transmissions as of the 22^nd  of April in the channel’s prime time.

Fortuna is a suspense thriller of 120 chapters, with locations in the State of Hidalgo and Mexico City. The cast is headed by Claudia Ramirez, Andrés Palacios, Marco Treviño, Iliana Fox and Anna Ciochetti among others.

I think it will have a good reception from the public, because the series are opening the way to Mexico and if we deliver a quality production we open other markets. We have years of experience with telenovelas, now we have to grow with the series”, commented Carmen Armendáriz.

Meanwhile, Ana Lydia Montoya, Managing Director of Programming and Production Televisa Networks, underlined that: “with a vast variety in their innovative contents, Unicable is positioned as one of the favorite Pay TV channels, reaching great levels in audience and we will continue this gap.”

Cásate conmigo…mi amor is a comedy program of 18 chapters, directed by Francisco Franco that revolves around the life of Valeria Mejia, a gorgeous woman, chef by profession with fear of commitment. Ironically, Valeria is an expert in weddings as she has a catering business, with her partner and best friend Alonso. She is convinced that the source of her problems is, the dysfunctional relationship of their parents Marissa and David, and that neither she nor her brother Emilio, have managed to settle down. With the help of her friends Amaya and Bárbara, Valeria will attempt to uncover the origin of their fears, while several suitors roam her heart: Hector, a successful entrepreneur; Sebastian, an adventurous photographer and Marcelo a famous comedian with whom she shares the same therapist.

In Colombia they managed an interesting spin on conjectural issues, both political as social. “This country is going through a very acidic problem of armed conflict and guerrillas, then under journalistic and investigatory hard work, we chose some people with stories that we could help and protect them, to get into their problems.”

On the difficulties the production faced for the shoot, the journalist and director said: “We were in jungles where there’s armed conflict and witnesses as children living in combat with other gangs attacked their house while we were filming. However, the production team was never threatened or violated in their safety, but we were in areas that involved risk. Also, it was difficult to get closer, since these people are not friends of the media and to allow us to accompany them was complicated.”

Each episode features from young gang members, to a woman that was burned with acid and now she is leading an ONG, to a peasant woman who is the leader of a social movement with over 20 thousand people. “In each story there are sad endings and happy ones, having at the end their family dead or in jail, or who has received an reward for its labor”, finalized the director.

The shooting lasted a year and a half, there are 8 half hour episodes and is transmitted on Sundays in prime time on pay TV, TruTV.
