TagDF is a festival FOCUSED in the Entertainment industry and digital creativity to detonate a new talent generation of Mexican creators through technology. The themes that the festival will develop are: music, television, film digital art, gaming, science, creativity and education.

The Hippodrome of the Americas and  Centro Banamex in Mexico City will host TagDF on July 3 and 4. TagDF offers its six thousand daily attendees the most innovative content through lectures, workshops, performances, concerts and exhibitions.

 

In TagDF, thousands of young people will be, at times, creators, producers or video developers, movies, photos, music or blogs. They themselves will be the filter of other content so that, so at the time, other developers consume, be inspired, and continue to create.

The festival will allow for this process of creation and collaborationfor Mexican youth to hobnob with ideas and the most innovative minds in the world.

+ More than 20 conferences with top level creative geniuses like James Cameron, Brian Eno, Steve Wozniak, Charlie Todd and Janie Bryant, as well as managers and directors of companies and industry leaders as Medium.com alternative means or Julia Kaganskiy of Vice.
+ More than 70 hours of knowledge and learning labs on technology and content creation. The workshop participants come from academic institutions of excellence such as the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts; international design agencies as FX Fowle; open source leading companies like Blender 3D animation; civil society and youth hacktivism as Codeando Mexico, Mexican companies breaking molds as Machina and augmented reality items; International Foundations to share ideas as Creative Commons and Wikimedia, business schemes designed for the digital marketplace like Etsy; and, national artistic talents as Camilo Lara.
+ A huge expo area with the newest gaming, science, education, digital art and technology. There will be robots and prototypes IPN live impressions of three-dimensional works of art and science, video game tournaments, events to trigger the senses and brain waves as well as the latest technological developments and applications developed by UNAM and by commercial enterprises.

After the success with the special Contacto Extraterrestre, HISTORY presents its new 10-part series originally produced by the same title, which has numerous stories about encounters with strange beings and sightings of mysterious objects in the sky in Latin America that are still unknown.

Through a seven-nation trip going through Chile, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and the U.S., Contacto Extraterrestre will continue to explore the possibility that beings from other planets visit the continent. The appeal of this recent journey is that the facts be presented with original filmic evidence captured by the production team, new photo and video files, reconstructions film and animation resources giving realism to the scenes and providing a greater understanding of the stories.

The production conducted over 130 interviews for 6 months between astronomers, physicists, meteorologists, military, pilots, air traffic controllers, aircraft mechanics, direct witnesses and UFO researchers that were recorded in 43 cities.

Contacto Extraterrestre  will broadcast every Friday from June 21 in HISTORY’s prime time.

Since last June 17, the open TV Greek channel, Alpha TV, began broadcasting in prime time one of the biggest hits of Globo: ‘Avenida Brazil’. Based in Athens, Alpha TV focusing on entertainment programs and presents in its grid domestic and foreign productions. Long-time partner of Globo, the Greek channel has exhibited other successes of the Brazilian broadcaster, as ‘El Color del Pecado’, the best-selling telenovela of all time, and ‘Belíssima’.

The overall extent of the telenovela audience in Brazil was 42 points and 69% share (Source: IBOPE). The last chapter had the largest TV audience in Brazil in 2012, adding 56 points with 84% audience share and over 50 million viewers (Source: IBOPE). One in three TV was tuned to the telenovela.

Significantly Avenida Brazil was licensed also for countries in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In Europe, the telenovela is in the air now in Croatia, Russia and Portugal, in SIC, where it’s the ratings leader in its time slot.

NEEDHAM, MA and LA CROSSE, WI.  Echo Bridge Home Entertainment has promoted Nathan Hart to President; it was announced today by Michael Rosenblatt, Chairman, President and CEO of EBHE’s parent, Echo Bridge Entertainment. In his new position, Hart will oversee all financial, sales, operations and acquisitions decisions and will work to maximize the future growth of the company.

“Nate has made enormous contributions to Echo Bridge Home Entertainment in his eleven years with the company,” said Rosenblatt. “We view Nate’s new role as an opportunity to continue the great work he has already accomplished.”

Joining Echo Bridge Home Entertainment in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, Hart has most recently served as the company’s Co-President. In his time with Echo Bridge, he has overseen a series of strategic initiatives to maximize the company’s extensive 3500 title catalog, including the licensing of over 250 Miramax titles for domestic DVD distribution, as well as the extension of EBHE’s direct distribution relationships with virtually every major retailer in America.

Hart brings over 15 years of accounting, finance, and operations experience in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Prior to joining Echo Bridge, he served as Regional Operations Controller for the Dr. Pepper/7UP Bottling Group.
