The entertainment license area of Smilehood led by Anita Caratini, company directed by Guillermo Tita Pino, owner also of a 360° contents studio and 3D animation, joins the opening of the fiction contents and distribution area of SMILEHOOD MEDIA guided since March 2013 by Silvana D’Angelo, a professional with extensive experience in this activity.

This area will be responsible for the production of television contents focused on international business and also be a fulcrum for the licensing platform, category Smilehood specialized to date.

Also DAngelo’s experience will position these new productions internationally. This new distribution unit product not only will represent its own products, but also third parties that have the ability to develop all the related business line.

Smilehood Licenses will work strategically with Smilehood Media for the most optimal exploitation of the 360 business which today is seen as a necessity in the media business.

Among the products that Smilehood will submit at the Los Angeles Screenings; in Suite 1748 highlights the now famous El Payaso Plim Plim, an animated series which airs on Disney Junior successfully to 22 countries, and already has been acquired in several territories for the broad derived business Line created for the famous character, as a theatrical play to be released in Argentina in June and then begin its tour across Latin America. 

Plim Plim is now the face of massive brands in Argentina where it is already an educational benchmark for preschool age children. Another of the top products in this market is the musical teen drama WAKE UP, a Sebastian Mellino production in coproduction with Coca Cola and Warner TV will be available to all of Latin America from September 2013. The series has a wide portfolio of famous themes from the Warner music library for adaptation in each territory, and the Argentina version will feature Colombian Mexican and Argentine talents thus generating an international and neutral series.

Another hallmark of Smilehood Media is the excellent fiction library created especially for the web such asSEGÚN ROXI, sitcom that has shocked the social networks about a mother in absurd situations with which all women identify with and which is now in its second successful season, and YO SOY VIRGEN, musical teen drama now in its  3rd season and still getting followers on all social networks, it was the first web series awarded in this category, both available.

El jardín de Clarilú, the original production of Disney Junior Latin America, received a silver award in the category: Educational/Instructional Television Program. Also, in February, El jardín de Clarilú, was recognized in the first edition of the International Emmy® Kids Awards for best children’s program for preschoolers.

This is the first mobile app available in more than 150 countries and 8 languages including English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish (Latin America) and Spanish (Spain). The app is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices and features 3D characters, and environments based on CG-animated series.

In the app Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run, players assume the role of their favorite turtle as they try to take advantage of the gravitational beam of Kraang, fighting their enemies with Ninjutsu style combat. Having defeated the enemies, players earn coins that can be exchanged for powers or lives, weapons and armor.

These updates may be purchased using the game currency or with iTunes account. The new armor influences in the collection of currencies, in draining and recharging the energy meter, creates resistance to certain obstacles and allows players to move quickly in any section of the game that had already been played, and so earn additional coins.

Nickelodeon’s Ninja Turtles premiered on September 29. 2012 in the United States, becoming a success reaching nearly 12 million viewers in the weekend of its release. The series airs regularly in Nickelodeon Latino America – Monday thru Friday at 4:30pm in Mexico/5:30pm Argentina, Brazi, Colombia and Venezuela, with repeats on Saturdays at 12 noon in Mexico/12:30pm Argentina and Colombia/and 1pm Brazil and Venezuela.

The agreement contained some of the most anticipated Paramount blockbusters, including Michael Bay’s, Transformers 4 (June 2014 in USA and in July in Spain) as well as the coproduction by Christopher Nolan of the film Interstellar (November 2014 in USA and Spain) and three other titles that have not yet been announced.
“IMAX is one of the best ways to enjoy a movie and this adds to the success we have achieved together for years in our long association with Rich, Greg and all the IMAX team, so that this agreement is a natural extension of a successful relationship. We work with the best filmmakers today because we want to offer the public new movies, most exhilarating and the best presentation possible,” said, Rob Moore, VP of Paramount Pictures.

Allan Navarrete, senior VP and general manager of Discovery Mexico Latin America, presented to media and customers in Mexico City, the premiere of Doki, the first series made for this character considered an icon of the channel and were released on April 15.

The executive told TVMAS that the project is the most important for the channel in its history, since it is a self-production.

“It was an incredible job, which lasted two years in production to generate 26 episodes with the highest quality. We are known for having creative works based on acquisitions, but this is the first time it is our own property and that gives added value. We had to create a world-class 3D series, supported by the best technology to be at the height of the most important in the world. ”

The company began a promotional campaign with all the member affiliates of the signal, it will be released in Brazil translated into Portuguese and present live events in Latin America and a strong presence on digital platforms, where the executive assured that they will devote all year to publicize this project.

The launch of the series is accompanied by a strong merchandising campaign and digital applications, since Mexico is the country with higher downloads.

The adventure series of a group of friends that will travel around the world and highlights human values, is directed to a target of children from 4-6 years. Navarrete says, “we can say that younger children and up to eight years, will like our proposal,” concluded the executive.
